Revision of pension/family pension of pre-2006 pensioners

After publication of Notification  by Govt of India, Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure, Central Pension Accounting Office, New Delhi published in leading news papers, we are receiving numerous representation from retired officers/pers  by giving details as per above notification for revision of pension/family pension of Pre-2006.  A case was take up   with PCDA (P) Allahabad regarding applicability of above notification for revision of pension/family pension of pre 2006 pensioners for BRO. In turn, PCDA (P) Allahabad  intimated that the pension of Central Govt employees who retired before 2006 has already been revised by concerned Pension Disbursing Authority  and above notification is not applicable to pensioners of Defence Civilians (Under PCDA (P) Allahabad) including BRO.

Officers./pers who retired prior 2006 are requested to liaise/contact  their respective Pension Disbursing Office  for revision of pension if not revised till date.

Projects are also requested to info the retired pensioners/family pensioners who approach them or who are in contact with the Projects  regarding revision of pension of pre-2006 for approaching concerned PDA for revision of pension if not revised till date.

Annual statement of movable/immovable & valuable property return

Central Govt in recent past sought details of immovable property in respect   of Group ‘A’ officers.  Accordingly, such information was uploaded in the BRO website.  There have been defaulters also and that caused much embarrassment to the Organization.

To obviate such a situation, the Projects were advised to furnish details of immovable property instead of routine ‘no change report’ during current year end.  There have been misconception in the Projects in the matter.  It is clarified that instead of mere ‘no change’ officers should give details of the immovable property held in their names and those standing in the names of their dependents.  The format should be Form No.I as used for reporting during Oct-Nov 2011.  Also refer sub rule (23) of Rule 18 of CCS (Conduct) Rules, 1964 regarding punitive action for failure to submit Annual Immovable property returns in time.

The Projects are also requested to advise all officers to compile the details of their movable property and be ready to furnish them if Govt calls for it

The Projects are requested to ask clarification/difficulties being faced regarding uploading the details of movable/immovable property return in BRO website from Shri A Chattopadhyay, Director (Admn) on phone.
