Udayak

Raised in Jun 1990 to execute works in the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland and Assam in northeastern sector. The Rivers Brahmaputra and Lohit split the Project sector into three distinctive parts.   With a total bridge length of more than 16 Km over a road length of 1260 Km in Arunachal Paradesh. UDAYAK probably has the highest bridge to road length ratio in the entire world.

Apart from looking after about 2100 Km of roads, 'The Rising Sun' has constructed a 80 Bed Hospital at Pullong, resurfaced and strengthened the Dibrugarh Air Field and is engaged in construction of buildings for residential JNV School at Tissa and Chare.  Improvement of NH-52 in Aruncachal Pradesh has been a major achievement of the Project.

The Project has been entrusted with four important roads in Arunachal Pradesh which are being constructed by attempting multiple attack points through Air Maintained Detachments.  Inspite of limited fair weather and difficult accessibility due to river Lohit, the Project has managed road construction by inducting  dozers, road rollers, compressors and tippers utilising MI-17 helicopters.  The 'Rising Sun' has become a house hold name in North Eastern sector & is all set to transform road communication in the far North-Eastern sector true to its motto  Uttam Kam Pragati Mahan – Udayak Kam Hai Mahan”.
